Dental Emergencies
What are Dental Emergencies?
A dental emergency can happen at any time and leave you feeling distressed and in a lot of pain. In some cases, the emergency involves one or more of your teeth, but it also isn’t uncommon for an emergency to strike if a restoration falls out or breaks or if you’re wearing braces that have broken or cracked. We are here to help make your emergency appointment as easy and quick as possible. We are equipped to handle most dental emergencies of patients of all ages.
What could be considered a Dental Emergency?
There is never a problem too big or too small for us to handle. Even if you’re considering whether or not to come in for a minor emergency, we can get you in to be seen to put your mind at ease. Some of the most common emergencies that are seen include:
- Pain, abscesses and infections
- Lost restorations (bridges, crowns, veneers, fillings)
- Orthodontic emergencies (broken brackets, cracked aligners, loose wires)
- Broken or cracked prosthetic appliances (dentures and partials)
- Cracked, fractured, chipped or broken teeth
Why is it important to seek treatment for Dental Emergencies?
If left completely untreated, a dental emergency can become a much bigger problem. For example, if you’re dealing with an orthodontic emergency that involves loose, jutting wires, this can cause additional trauma and damage to your mouth. As soon as you notice a problem concerning your dental health, contact us so that we can get you in to be seen immediately. If you’re currently dealing with pain or discomfort, we will work to alleviate the pain and get you feeling back to your normal self.
